The Science

We use qEEG technology to measure brainwaves. We use biofeedback to measure the body’s response to various stimuli. And we use psychometrics to gage emotional states and stability. All this data is quantified, allowing us to identify and measure specific emotional responses to alter them, and ultimately empowers you to control them.

The nervous system is not just a pathway for signals — it is the body’s primary regulation system. It continuously monitors internal and external conditions and generates emotional, cognitive, and physiological responses in real time. It defines our experience of living.

Our approach is grounded in comprehensive biofeedback-based training, which allows individuals to observe, understand, and retrain how their nervous system responds under stress. By using measurable evidence based physiological signals, we can identify patterns, track change, and reinforce healthier responses over time.

Rather than relying on willpower or symptom suppression, this work focuses on conditioning and reconditioning nervous-system patterns, so regulation becomes more stable, predictable, and sustainable.

Neurofeedback (EEG Biofeedback)

Neurofeedback is one form of biofeedback and a core component of the Cole Neurologic Method™. Using noninvasive sensors, we observe brainwave activity in real time and provide feedback that allows the nervous system to shift toward healthier, more adaptive patterns.

Importantly, neurofeedback is not used in isolation. It is integrated within a broader conditioning framework so changes generalize beyond the session and into daily life.

Physiological Biofeedback & Cognitive Coaching

In addition to EEG-based feedback, we incorporate other forms of physiological biofeedback — including heart rate variability, respiration, and related autonomic signals — to help retrain regulation across the entire nervous system.

Cognitive coaching and structured breath training is used to influence these systems directly, supporting improved recovery, reduced reactivity, and greater emotional steadiness. These techniques are evidence-informed (there are lots of FDA approvals in this field) and widely used to support autonomic regulation.

Sensory Regulation & Integration

The nervous system is constantly processing sensory input. At CNI, we use targeted sensory regulation strategies to help improve how the system filters, integrates, and responds to stimulation.

When combined with biofeedback-based conditioning, this supports stable  alertness, emotional regulation, focus, and smoother daily functioning.
